Cemetery clean-up in April

The annual spring clean-up of the Springfield Township Cemetery by the Department of Public Services will begin in April. Andrew Hohlbein, cemetery sexton, is asking that all winter grave decorations and other items, including shepherd hooks, which are not permitted, be removed from gravesites by April 1, or the cemetery attendants will remove them.

Toledo launches landlord and tenant surveys

The City of Toledo’s Department of Housing and Community Development is launching two surveys on its website with hopes to improve the renting experience in Toledo. The surveys are aimed at gathering feedback from landlords and tenants about their experiences in the city’s rental market.

Martin Sutter, chairman of GenBanc, Inc., announced the stock valuation as of January 31, 2023, to increase from current market fair of $31 to the new price of $33.25. This is a 7.25 percent increase in stock value.

YWCA seeks adult volunteers for TPS program

YWCA of Northwest Ohio is partnering with Toledo Public Schools to launch its AMEND Together program at Jones Leadership Academy for eighth grade males. The AMEND Together program is a violence prevention initiative aimed at ending violence against women and girls by engaging men and boys to be part of the solution.

Dumpster Days service to be offered in 2023

Springfield Township residents are invited to use a free dumpster service three times during 2023. Located behind the township building, 7617 Angola Road, Dumpsters Days will be offered from 8 a.m.

Toledo Craftsman’s Guild to host craft festival

This year marks the return of the Spring Festival of Crafts, hosted by the Toledo Craftman’s Guild. The festival will take place at Premier Banquet Hall, 4480 Heatherdowns Boulevard, Toledo, on Saturday, March 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, March 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
