Springfield softball team seeks sponsors

Body
The Springfield High School Blue Devils varsity softball team is seeking sponsors for the 2024 season. Last year, the team was ranked fourth in the nation and first in the state. “We have an amazing group of young ladies who not only work hard on the field but in the classroom,” said Head Coach Rob Gwozdz. This year, 14 players are returning, and most of those were starters in 2023, so, they are hoping for another amazing season. “Because of their hard work and dedication both on and off the field, we would like to give our girls the opportunity to show their talents in Cocoa Beach, Florida, over spring break,” the coach added. The trip will cost more than any budget the school is able to provide, and the team is seeking community sponsors. There are multiple ways to donate. For a $100 donation, the team will advertise you or your company name on a banner that will travel with them to Florida and, when the season begins, it will stay at the home field where hundreds of visitors will be able to view it. Donors names also will be posted to social media. Checks may be made payable to Springfield Blue Devils Softball or Venmo@Brooke-Chappetta. For more information, call Mandy Sargeont at 419-351-8401; Coach Gwozdz, 419-266-5766, or Brook Chappetta, 419-367-9384.
