OAPSE recognizes custodial staff

The Ohio Association of Public School Employees 478 would like to recognize the custodial staff at Springfield Local School District. “They are a dedicated department of employees whose jobs tend to be less than glamorous at times, none the less they get it done,” said Steve Mueller OAPSE 478 vice president.

Twp. firefighters teach CPR to Dorr elementary students

Dorr Elementary School students learned CPR recently from members of the Springfield Township Fire Department. The second grade eager learners quickly grasped the knowledge, performing CPR on dummies. The students were taught by Private Libey Steiger and Acting Battalion Chief Andrew Vascik.
